It was a dull day and I had got in touch by some people wanting me to teach English in private. After a talk or two I learned they did not really want to talk English but rather they wanted to be able to talk about products they produced because they were facing a summit abroad and they needed to be able to at least sell the products, so then I started squeezing my brain on solving how to manage and helping those people learn in the least amount of time possible.

These people were in the textile industry but particularly they were in the wool business, yup, that's right, they were knitters and they did marvelous things with crochet. I knew nothing at all about anything related and I had to teach it so I though "very well...hands on and let yourself be taught" and my approach was rather simple, instead of going on rushing over learning how to speak words about knitting in a foreign language I thought it'd be better if I learnt to knit in two languages.

From then on I have found many long and fruitful hours of meditation, quiet solitude and comforting production using a single crochet needle and some wool. Every time my mind is stormy or if I have had a stressful situation I take on the crochet and just like magic I put myself together and at ease just by the fact of moving a woolen thread with the help of a needle.

Perhaps the only downside I could see on it is that beyond all of the relaxing benefits it may bring about, crocheting is something that requires concentration and perseverance because to carry out a big, neat and well done design you need to invest a lot of time, which I have nearly none and so finally I have so far ended up not quite finishing the pieces I have started.

I love the relaxation crocheting brings about, I love feeling I can use some method to calm down my mind and furthermore I just the story behind me learning to crochet. Needless say that it is not quite common in this country to see a man crocheting in the bus and for me that makes it even more interesting to keep on learning more, but as I have said above, it is quite likely I will keep on starting pieces and finding it difficult to finish, LOL.
